In 1992, the ‘United Nations Conference on Environment and Development’ was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. On that day, it was announced that every year on 22nd March, World Water Day would be celebrated. And in the year 1993, the first Water Day was celebrated on March 22, and since then this day has been celebrated every year.
