Yatra Teaser on YSR birth anniversaryYatra teaser will be  unveiled  on 8th July on the occasion of  birth Anniversary of our People’s Leader Y S Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR).

Yatra, the biopic of Andhra Pradesh’s former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy(YSR), is progressing at brisk pace. The team of Yatra has already announced that the movie will hit the theaters on the occasion of Sankranthi 2019. Now according to the latest update, the first teaser of upcoming film Yatra will be out on 8th July 2018 at 00.01 am, on the occasion of YS Rajasekhar Reddy (YSR)’s birth anniversary.

The makers shared a poster and wrote on twitter, “Tie ur laces and get ready for the walk of a lifetime.. The glimpse of our YATRA on July 8th – the Birth Anniversary of our People’s Leader – YSR.. #YATRA #YatraTheMovie #70mmYatra #70mmEntertainments.”

Malayalam superstar Mammootty is reprising the role of YSR in Yatra, which is being helmed by Mahi V Raghav of Anando Brahma fame and bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the banner of 70mm Entertainments banner. Yatra will focus especially on the period from 1999-2004 when Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy aka YSR undertook his famous Padayatra which ultimately proved instrumental in catapulting him to a comprehensive victory in the 2004 polls.

 Jagapathi Babu will play the role of  YSR’s father YS Raja Reddy in Yatra, who was mining baron and politician. Anchor turned actress Anasuya Bharadwaj is playing the role of a politician from the Kurnool district who played a key role during YSR’s regime in Andhra Pradesh.  Suhasini Maniratnam  is essaying Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy whereas Rao Ramesh will be seen in the role of  K.V.P.Ramachandra Rao who was a very close associate of Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR).

Recently Baahubali star Prabhas, who is good friends with Yatra’s producers Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy, has assured his complete support to Yatra. It is expected that  Prabhas will take part in the promotional activities of the Yatra before its release.
