Yediyurappa: I believe in forgive and forget
On addressing the media meet, in his first cabinet meeting the new Karnataka Chief Minister
BS Yediyurappa said, he believes in the policy of forgetting and forgiving. Yediyurappa added saying,
he would not practice vendetta or vindictive politics.
Till late on Thursday night, there was no response from the BJP’s central leadership which lead to several twists and the dramatic situation regarding the fate of Karnataka. It was thought the situation would lead to the presidential rule if no one is sworn in. State BJP team was only able to meet the BJP party president Amit Shah in snatches as the central people were busy with some important parliamentary works. But as the final verdict, lately, in the morning, a call from Amit Shah to Yediyurappa has paved a way for his CM position in Karnataka. This would be a milestone in the Yediyurappa’s career, he would be the second Chief Minister after the S Nijalingappa to head the state for the fourth time.
Political critics are airing their mind saying, reconvening of legislature session on Monday will leave a ray of hope for the financial bill by which all the government payments like salaries, pensions, etc can be paid without a halt. The finance bill should be passed on or before July 31st.
