National Award-winning South beauty Keerthy Suresh was all set to be launched in Bollywood opposite Ajay Devgn in Amit Sharma’s sports-based drama, Maidaan. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Keerthy Suresh has now opted out of the film Maidaan. The upcoming film is being bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is yet to come from the production house.

The sources say that Keerthy Suresh and Boney Kapoor mutually agreed that she should no longer be a part of the project Maidaan starring Ajay Devgn, as she “looked too young” for the role. Keerthy Suresh was supposed to essay the role of Ajay Devgn’s wife in Maidaan, who is playing the role of a former football coach and manager of Indian national team Syed Abdul Rahim, under whose guidance the Indian team reached the semifinals of 1956 Melbourne Olympics.

It is known news that Keerthy Suresh had recently played an older character in Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture Mahanati, the biopic of veteran actress Savitri. The sources say that both Keerthy Suresh and Boney Kapoor have agreed for her to pick a different Bollywood film to make her Hindi debut.

In the past, Keerthy Suresh had expressed her excitement about being a part of Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan. Mahanati face actress had said, “Maidaan is a film that will make every Indian proud. This sport-based film will be an emotional ride that caters to all sections of the audience.”

Currently, Keerthy Suresh has as many as 6 movies in her kitty. One of them is a bilingual horror thriller, Penguin. The makers of Penguin have already released the first look poster where the actress was seen flaunting baby bump. Penguin is presented by Petta and Pizza fame Karthik Subbaraj. Keerthy Suresh will also be seen in Miss India.
