Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy attended the CBI inquiry today in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy. YS Avinash Reddy is facing the fifth CBI investigation in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case. Avinash Reddy, reached CBI regional office in Hyderabad around 10.30 a.m. in response to the notice issued by CBI. Kadapa MP was accompanied by his lawyer.
In fact, on 17th of this month, Avinash Reddy was scheduled to attend the CBI investigation. However, YS Avinas Reddy has filed a petition in Telangana High Court seeking anticipatory bail in this case. YS Avinash Reddy reached the CBI office on 17th of this month at 3 pm at the same time as the hearing on this petition was going on in the High Court.
Avinash Reddy’s lawyer brought the issue of CBI investigation before the High Court. However, the CBI officials told the court that they will be interrogated on 17th of this month after five o’clock in the evening. But the CBI has issued a notice to come for investigation on 18th of this month at 10:30 am. However, the High Court directed the CBI to investigate after four o’clock in the evening on 18th of this month. The High Court has suggested that the hearing be held in the evening as the anticipatory bail petition of YS Avinash Reddy is pending. Later CBI instructed Avinash Reddy to come for investigation on the evening of 18th of this month. On the 18th of this month from 1 pm to 4:30 pm, a hearing was held in the Telangana High Court on the anticipatory bail petition of YS Avinash Reddy.
CBI has told the High Court that it will be investigated on the 19th of this month at 10 o’clock in the morning. Notices were sent to YS Avinash Reddy yesterday evening regarding the same. Based on these notices, YS Avinash Reddy attended the CBI investigation today.
Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court yesterday ordered the CBI not to arrest YS Avinash Reddy till the 25th of this month.
