Amala Paul’s ex-husband AL Vijay who is best known for helming Devi, Thaandavam and Vanamagan, has directed Karu/Kanam starring Fidaa and MCA fame Sai Pallavi and Naga Shaurya, shared an interesting moment that happened during the shooting. Yesterday on 24th February, the audio launch event of Karu took place in Chennai, during his speech the director revealed, “Sai Pallavi initially rejected doing this as she didn’t want to be a part of horror movies. Then I requested her to listen to the script and then decide upon it. Later, she agreed to come on the board after hearing the whole script. Once Premam beauty Sai Pallavi joined the sets, the film got a new dimension, and the expectations started to rise. Pallavi is the biggest strength of Karu, and her performance was so realistic. She will definitely stand out to be a top league actress. I wish her all the best, and thanks for accepting to do Karu.”
Vijay further said, “Veronika, the child artiste that we see along with Sai Pallavi in the poster of Karu is different from the one, who has acted in this horror film. “
Sai Pallavi is essaying the role of mother in the film which touches upon the issue of abortion. It is produced by Lyca Productions and scheduled to hit the theaters on 9th March 2018.
