BFA students of Creative Multimedia honour legendary actress Savitri garu with spectacular show ‘Mahanati-The Retrospective’
Hyderabad, Saturday, 25th August 2018 – Creative Multimedia College of Fine Arts (CMCFA) organized an art show ‘Mahanati-The Retrospective’, in tribute to the legendary actress Savaitri garu and her immensely succesful biopic ‘Mahanati’ which has captured the fancy of the audience and is running to packed houses all over the world.
The closing ceremony of the show is conducted today at Press conference Hall, Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, Film Nagar, Hyderabad.
Interacting with the press: Sri Nag Ashwin garu said: ‘It is commendable that students have taken the initiative to honour Savitri garu”. He congratulated CMCFA for helping immortalize the legend.
A collection of 72 true-to-life portraits of the legendary thespian Savitri garu was created by CMCFA students and displayed at the art show.
An amount of Rs. “3 Lakhs” was raised from the sale of portraits and the same was handed over to Sri. Sivaji Raja, President of Movie Artist Association by Raja Sekhar Buggaveeti, President of Creative Multimedia group in the August presence of Sri Nag Ashwin & Smt Swapna Dutt & Smt Priyanka Dutt, Director & Producers of the movie ‘Mahanati’.
CMCFA believes in ‘Education with a purpose’ and to this end, inspired its students to make their Fine Arts education meaningful by embracing this noble cause.
