Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika :The Queen of Jhansi is winning the hearts of movie lovers. Manikarnika was released on 25th January 2019 and made decent collections at the box office on its opening day. Director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish, has revealed the reason why he quit Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in a recent interview.
Manikarnika, which was released on Friday, was being directed by National award winning director Krish but after Sonu Sood’s exit from Manikarnika and some disagreements between Krish and Kangana Ranuat, the actress took over the directing duties. Manikarnika marked Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut.
Everybody is aware of that earlier Krish was on the board to direct Manikarnika but later he was replaced by Kangana Ranaut. Rangoon fame actress claimed that Krish helmed 30% of the film.
When Krish left Manikarnika, he did not show any interest to talk about this project. Whenever he was asked why did he leave the project, he was tight lipped. But now after the release of Manikarnika, when Kangana Ranuat is receiving lot of applause, Krish came forward. He is claiming that he completed the entire film and even gave them for sound recording but Kangana Ranaut did not dubbed though everyone dubbed for their roles.
During the media interaction, Krish also said, ”I think Kangana Ranaut has done 20-25 per cent of the first half. I didn’t shoot a song and I didn’t shoot her entry scene. In the 2nd half, she has even re-shot some scenes which I had shot in a different way. But it’s ok. I am happy that Kangana Ranaut didn’t spoil it much.”
When Krish was asked about Sonu Sood, who also quit Manikarnika over disagreements with Kangana Ranaut, the director said, “Kangana Ranaut said Sonu Sood is not required in the 2nd half. But I put my foot down. Big arguments followed. One of the producer took Kangana Ranaut’s side.” It seems Krish is not able to digest Kangana Ranaut’s success.
