Mahanati Mania has reached Internationally. Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture Mahanati is biopic of legendary actress Savitri, in which Keerthy Suresh played the titular role. Mahanati makers shared couple of video on social media sites that proved that Mahanati fever has reached Time Squares in New York. This is a pride moment for Mahanati makers. They captioned it, “When the love for #Mahanati crosses borders and reaches Times Square. #celebratesavitri”
Mahanati- the movie set between the 50s and the 80s, is produced by Swapna and Priyanka Dutt, daughters of producer Ashiwini Dutt, under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies.
Flooded with praises now, Swapna Dutt said, “Our minds are completely blank and we don’t know what to say. We are extremely overwhelmed.” Priyanka Dutt said, “We worked for nearly three years on this film Mahanati and finally got the result of our hard work.”
Recently Mahanati makers revealed that Keerthy Suresh was not the first person we thought. We discussed few actresses, all of them established as we had decided not to go for a new face. When Nag Ashwin suggested Keerthy Suresh for the role of Mahanati, we were unsure. But when Nag Ashwin expressed his confidence in Keerthy Suresh, we brought her on the board to play the role of Mahanati.
Apart From Keerthy Suresh, Mahanati has other stars like Samantha Akkineni, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Devarakonda, Shalini Pandey, Naga Chaitanya, Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu, Krish and others in supporting role.
