Mahanati– the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, helmed by Nag Ashwin, was released on 9th May. Keerthy Suresh played the titular role. According to the latest update, the satellite rights of Mahanati has been acquired by Zee network for the whooping price of Rs 11 Cr in all the languages. The amount is equal to the half of the investment of the movie Mahanati.
Mahanati is based on the life of legendary actress Savitri, who had acted in more than 260 films in various languages, including Telugu and Tamil.

Mahanati has already earned over $1 million in the USA within four days of its release. The film is also doing decent collections at domestic box office.
