Mahanati: Satellite rights of Keerthy Suresh film bagged by Zee Network for Rs 11 Cr

Mahanati: Satellite rights of Keerthy Suresh film bagged by Zee Network for Rs 11 Cr Mahanati– the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, helmed by Nag Ashwin, was released on 9th May.  Keerthy Suresh played the titular role.  According to the latest update, the satellite rights of Mahanati has been acquired  by Zee network for the whooping price of  Rs 11 Cr in all the languages. The amount is equal to the half of the investment of  the movie Mahanati.

Mahanati is based on the life of legendary actress Savitri, who had acted in more than 260 films in various languages, including Telugu and Tamil.

2018 has been a year of great importance for female characters in the Indian film industry. 2018 started with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.  Now Nag Ashwin’s Mahanati is receiving rave reviews for bringing Savitri back to life. Savitri had to face a lot of trials and failures initially, yet she did not give up on herself and tried only harder.

Mahanati has already earned over $1 million in the USA within four days of its release.  The film is also doing decent collections at domestic box office.

Mahanati starring Keerthy Suresh, Samantha Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Devarkonda , Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu and others. Keerthy Suresh’s performance in the film is reportedly commendable and she has been praised for carrying Savitri’s role with ease.

Mahanati is bankrolled by Aswini Dutt, Priyanka Dutt, Swapna Dutt  under the banner of Swapna Cinema and Vyjayanthi Movies. From SS Rajamouli to Jr NTR, celebrities  have heaped praises on director Nag Ashwin and  Mahanati’s cast.
