A slew of Telugu movies these days have actors playing differently-abled characters or those suffering from rare disorders, both physiological and psychological. Recently Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja played visually-impaired person in Raj The Great in the direction of Anil Ravipudi.
Raj Tarun in Andagadu also played a visually-impaired character. And Kanupapa, the Telugu dubbed version of the Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal-starrer Oppam, has a blind elevator operator as the lead character. Akkineni Nagarjuna wowed as a wheel-chair bound quadriplegic millionaire in Oopiri. It is known news that Ram Charan is playing deaf guy in Sukumar’s village based drama Rangasthalam.
Now according to the latest update, Nara Rohit who was recently seen in ‘Jyo Achyutananda’ and ‘Balakrishnudu’, is going to play a mute guy in his next upcoming film, which will be helmed by PB Manjunath of Ladies & Gentlemen fame and bankrolled by Narayana Rao Atluri whereas the music will be scored by Vikas Kurumella. Nara Rohith is one of the actor who never shied away from experimenting with his roles since his debut.
The upcoming film will be launched on the occasion of Ugadi and Richards Prasad has been roped to crank the lens. On the other-side, currently the actor is busy in the shoot of ‘Aatagallu’ in the direction of Paruchuri Murali, which is on the verge of completion.
