Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni starrer village based drama Rangasthalam has collected a gross of over Rs 200 Cr and currently running successfully at the box office. Sukumar’s directorial venture Rangasthalam is only the Telugu film other than SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali franchise (Baahubali 2:The Conclusion, Baahubali:The Beginning) in this exclusive club.
Already www.tollywood.net reported that Rangasthalam has breached $3.5 million benchmark at USA box office. Rangasthalam has proved that a movie with great performance, content and good technical values can turn out blockbuster at the box office without CG effects. Once again, Ram Charan has proved that he is the undisputed king of the Telugu film industry.
Baahubali 2 has released in China yesterday on 4th April and on its day 1 itself, the film has made some smashing records. Baahubali 2 has earned $2.85 million (Rs 19 crore) in its opening day and crossed the lifetime collection of Baahubali: The Beginning. The sources say that Sukumar is also planning to release Rangasthalam in China by Summer this year. It has also come out that Rangasthalam will also have a re-release PAN India dubbed in all major Indian languages (Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and a few more languages).
Rangasthalam is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and it has the music by Devi Sri Prasad. Apart from the lead pair, the film has other stars like Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagapathi Babu and Aadhi Pinisetty in supporting role. Pooja Hegde is shaking the leg in special song.
