Savyasachi Review: Savyasachi starring Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, Nidhhi Agarwal and R Madhavan, directed by Chandoo Mondeti has hit  the theaters today on 2nd November 2018. Savyasachi is an action film, which is produced by Naveen Yerneni, CV Mohan, Y Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers whereas it has the music by Keeravani.  Let’s see the storyline of Savyasachi:

Story: Vikram Aditya (Naga Chaitanya) and Chitra (Nidhhi Agerwal) were college friends and he fell in the lover of her but suddenly he disappeared from Chitra’s life and again both met after a long gap.  Now Vikram is an Ad film maker, and once again he tries to impress Chitra. After a Ad shoot, they move to US to shoot another Ad and finally Chitra accepts his love after he explains why he had to suddenly disappear from her life. After coming back from US,  he gets a shock as he comes to know that his sister (Bhumika Chawala) is injured and his niece is kidnapped. Mind games starts between Vikram and Arun Raj ( Madhavan ). Who is Arun? How will Vikram search Arun? How will he save his niece? To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Plus Points:

  • Naga Chaitanya
  • Madhavan
  • Vanishing Twin Syndrome Concept

Minus Points:

  • Narration
  • College episodes
  • Romantic track

Performance: Naga Chaitanya  has given one of his career best performances. He has done total justice to his role.  He looks handsome and carried off a hefty role with ease. Madhavan characterization is terrific. Nidhhi Agerwal is okay. Bhumika Chawla is good in her role, which is very important to the story. Then there is Vennela Kishore, and his comedy has worked out. Shakalaka Shankar as NRI is fine. Rest of the cast performed accordingly.

Technical: Though the story of Savyasachi is fresh and interesting but dull narration has spoiled the entertainment. The Film has high standard technical and production values. Vanishing twin syndrome concept has been used by Chandoo Mondeti effectively in Savyasachi. Action stunts are good. Dialogues are okay. College episode and romantic track are boring.  Cinematography by Yuvaraj is topnotch.  Music by M.M. Keeravani is good. Couple of songs are catchy but over all the songs lack appeal on the screen. But he makes it up with this terrific background score.

Analysis: Overall Savyasachi is a good entertainer movie. The romantic track between Naga Chaitanya and Nidhhi Agerwal turns tepid. Director Chandoo Mondeti has once again proved that he can come up with interesting plots, but he should concentrate more on telling them with a dash of entertainment. There are equal number of good sequences and boring episodes.
