Simbu and Khushbu in Attarintiki Daredi remakeWe have already reported that Attarintiki Daredi starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Samantha Akkineni and Pranitha Subhash, which was released in 2013, is going to be remade in Tamil. Tamil remake rights of Attarintiki Daredi, has been brought by Lyca Production house that is currently producing Shankar’s directorial venture 2.0 starring Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar. In the month  of July the production house Lyca Productions tweeted, “We are very happy to announce that we have acquired the Tamil Remake Rights of the Mega Telugu Blockbuster #AttarintikiDaredi ! More exciting updates on this Coming Up! Big Thank You to #TrivikramGaru.” Now according to the latest update, Kollywood actor Simbhu is going to reprise the role of Pawan Kalyan in this Tamil remake, which will be helmed by Sundar C. The script work is currently in progress and the official announcement regarding this project will be out soon. According to the latest buzz in the Tamil Film Industry, Khushbu, the wife of Sundar C will be essaying  the role of Nadhiya in the Tamil remake of  Attarintiki Daredi.

Attarintiki Daredi, directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, was blockbuster at the box office. Apart from the lead pair Pawan Kalyan and Samantha Akkineni, the film has other stars like Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ali, Nadhiya, M. S. Narayana, Ahuti Prasad,  and Boman Irani in the other important characters.

Meanwhile Simbu is busy in his upcoming Tamil movie Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, written and directed by Mani Ratnam.  Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay and Silambu are playing  the lead actors, while Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Dayana Erappa are playing the female leads. Currently the film is in post production stage. On the otherside, Khushbu was last seen in Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas’s Agnyaathavaasi, which was released last year.
