Trisha turns Village Belle for RajinikanthTrisha Krishnan is eagerly waiting the release of her upcoming movie Petta in which she is playing village belle. For the past one week, the makers have been releasing character posters from the film and now it was the turn of Trisha.  Vijay Sethupathi is playing the villain called Jithu whereas Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing the role called Singhar Singh.

Sun Pictures shared the look and name of Trisha in Petta as they wrote on Twitter, “@trishtrashers as #Saro #PettaCharacterPoster @rajinikanth @karthiksubbaraj @anirudhofficial @VijaySethuOffl @SimranbaggaOffc @SasikumarDir @Nawazuddin_S #PettaAudioLaunch #PettaAudioFromToday”. The actress is playing the role of Saro in Superstar Rajinikanth starrer.

The poster shows Kollywood Superstar  Rajinikanth pushing a swing on which Trisha Krishnan is seated.

Trisha is acting with Rajinikanth for the first time in a film, which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj. She in all new village avatar in Petta looks interesting.

Trisha took to her Twitter and wrote, “dream come true to be pairing with the one and only SUPERSTAR”

Trisha is one of the talented actress who has shared the  screen space with number of top stars like Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith and Vikram.

Trisha and Rajinikanth starrer Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and it has the music by Anirudh Ravichander. Two singles – Marana Mass and Ullaallaa – have been already released, which are already trending on YouTube.

 This is the first time when Karthik Subbaraj is working with Rajinikanth. And Simran, Trisha and Vijay Sethupathy are  sharing screen space with the Thalaivar for the first time as well. This movie also marks Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s entry into Tamil Film Industry. Petta will hit the theaters on the occasion of Pongal and will clash with Viswasam at the box office.

 Trisha was last seen in Prem Kumar’s romantic film 96 alongside Vijay Sethupathi, in which she essayed the role of Janu, an NRI.
