Nagarjuna and Natural star Nani’s upcoming film in the direction of Sri Ram Aditya, will be similar to Hirani’s Munnabhai MBBS. Nagarjuna will play gangster whereas Nani will play doctor.
Akkineni Nagarjuna who was last seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial venture Officer, moved on to his next project – a big light-hearted comedy – with which the actor says he enters ‘Munnabhai’ territory. In 2003, Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial venture Munnabhai MBBS starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Jimmy Sheirgill, Gracy Singh, Boman Irani and Sunil Dutt, was it at the box office. The movie won National Film Award for Best Popular Film.
Nagarjuna said, “I am doing with Natural Star Nani in Rajkumar Hirani territory. I am playing gangster whereas Nani is playing doctor. It is a comedy movie and the audiences will fall in the love of this movie.” Nagarjuna added that he doesn’t have any problem doing two heroes movie with Younger actors. In my filmy career I never felt threatened by the presence of any other actor. This time I got the opportunity to act in two hero project and I enjoy doing it. In Oopiri, I also shared the screen space with Karthi. Now working with Nani will also have lot of fun.”
Earlier it was heard that Nagarjuna is also joining hands with Priyadarshan for his next upcoming project, the biopic Makkar the Lion Of The Arabian Sea, based on the exploits of the 16th century naval explorer Kunjali Marakkar-IV. Nagarjuna said, “I was approached for this biopic but I need to hear the script before I say ‘yes’. The makers will narrate the script of Makkar the Lion Of The Arabian Sea in June end.:
Nagarjuna added that the director Sriram Aditya will make something special out of it. The upcoming drama is being bankrolled by Veteran producer Ashwini Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. Rashmika Mandanna and Akanksha Singh are on the board to play the female lead roles.
Nani and Nagarjuna film is expected to hit the theaters on 13th September 2018. On the other-side, recently Nani has announced his next upcoming sport based drama Jersey. Earlier it was heard that the makers approached Shruti Hassan but she rejected the offer.
