Uttar Pradesh- UP Special Task Force (STF) police have arrested two persons who threatened to blow up the Ayodhya Ram temple and bomb attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. STF Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Amitabh Yash also received bomb threats, the police said.

The accused have been identified as Tahar Singh and Om Prakash Mishra of Gonda. The police said that the threatening calls were sent through emails using Vivo T-2 and Samsung Galaxy A-3 mobiles. After arresting the accused, the police seized the Wi-Fi router and the digital video recorder of the CCTV camera at the location where the emails were sent.

The police said that, the emails were orchestrated by an individual named, Zubair Khan, who claimed to be an official from Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. The accused said in the investigation that they had committed the threats on the instructions of Devendra Tiwari, who runs an NGO under the names of Bharatiya Kisan Manch and Bharatiya Gau Seva Parishad. The police have registered a case against them under various sections and are investigating.

The police said that Tiwari instructed them to create fake email IDs and send threatening messages, which were then publicized through his X account to gain the media attention and political leverage.
