A fatal train accident took place in Bihar’s Buxar district. North East Express derailed near Raghunathpur railway station on Wednesday night. Four passengers died on the spot in this incident. More than 70 passengers were injured. As the danger was high, the train bogies were scattered. Six coaches were derailed. North East Express departs from Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi and goes to Kamakhya Junction in Guwahati. This train went with 21 coaches. The Railway Department has intensified the rescue operations at the place of the incident. The bogies lying on the tracks are being removed. The track is being repaired.

Four people died and 70 were injured after six compartments of the Kamakhya Junction-bound 12506 Northeast Express derailed near Bihar’s Buxar district.

This accident took place around 9.50 pm when 12506 Northeast Express,  which was running from Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi to Kamakhya Junction in the Guwahati, was close to Raghunathpur railway station, about 40 km from Buxar and 160 km from Patna.

Nalanda Medical College and Hospital , Patna Medical College and Hospital, and Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences  were put on alert to deal with emergency situation.
