The 69th National Film Awards was announced today on 24th August in Delhi. Stylish Star Allu Arjun won the best actor award for his rural drama Pushpa : The Rise. While Kadaisi Vivasayi was chosen as the Best Tamil Film, 777 Charlie was adjudged as the Best Kannada Film. Uppena and Home were chosen as the Best Telugu and Best Malayalam Films.
Finally Allu Arjun created history as he is the 1st ever actor to win the national award for best acting ( Pushpa) in the history of Telugu cinema.
Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared the Best Actress award for the movies- Mimi and Gangubai Kathiawadi respectively. Rocketery: The Nambi Effect won the Best Feature film award.

Best Hindi Film: Sardar Udham directed by Shoojit Sircar
Best Feature Film : Rocketery: The Nambi Effect helemd by R Madhavan won the award for Best Feature Film.
