An atrocity has taken place in Hyderabad city. Manholes are overflowing due to heavy rain in the morning. A child died after falling into an open manhole in Kalasiguda, Secunderabad. A child who went for a packet of milk fell into the drainage and got washed away. DRF personnel found Maunika’s dead body at Park Line. Locals are accusing the negligence of the GHMC officials for the child’s death.
Heavy rain in the city on Saturday morning left the roads waterlogged. Drainages are flooded and water is overflowing from man holes. An accident occurred when a manhole was kept open in Kalaseeguda. A nine-year-old girl, Maunika, fell into this man-hole and got lost. The DRF personnel came to know about the matter. While searching for the child, the dead body of the child was found at the park line.
The body was shifted to Gandhi Mortuary for postmortem. The parents are crying after the baby died after going to get a packet of milk. Meanwhile, GHMC Mayor Vijayalakshmi reacted to the death of the child Maunika. Expressing grief over Maunika’s death, the mayor said that strict action will be taken against the negligent staff. Further investigations are on in the matter.
