It is known news that Harish Shankar has teamed up with Varun Tej for an upcoming project, which has been titled Valmiki. Varun Tej is playing the role of a gangster in it. The film has been launched recently amidst a lot of fanfare with the poster featuring gun and film roll and the regular shoot of Valmiki has also been started. The will be bankrolled by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under their banner. Finally Varun Tej has released his look from Valmiki on his twitter. He came up with an interesting caption, “Treading a new path! #Valmiki.” Coming on the poster, Varun Tej is seen with a pierced ear.
Varun Tej looks pretty freaky and intense. He will be seen playing a negative role. Thick beard, curly hair and the piercing in ear is definitely different. Varun Tej’ look is grabbing the attention of his fans and movie lovers.
Valmiki will have the music by Sensational music composer Devi Sri Prasad. Interestingly, Valmiki is the remake of the hit Tamil movie Jigarthanda. It has come out that Harish Shankar is not planning it as an exact remake but he is making few changes to the script to suit the Telugu audiences.
The original version Jigarthanda was written and directed by Karthik Subburaj in which Siddharth, Bobby Simha and Lakshmi Menon played the lead roles whereas Nassar, Ambika, Karunakaran and Sangili Murugan were seen in supporting roles. Jigarthanda fetched the National Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor for Bobby Simha and Best Editing for Vivek Harshan.
Varun Tej was last seen in Anil Ravipudi’s directorial ventuer F2 Fun and Frustration in which Venkatesh Daggubati, Tamannah Bhatia and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada played the lead role and the movie was blockbuster at the box office.
