Recently there was a strong buzz in the film industry that the young and happening actor Vijay Deverakonda will reprise Prithviraj Sukumaran’ role in the Telugu remake of the Malayalam actioner Lucifer, in which Megastar Chianjeevi will play the lead role. However, a source close to Arjun Reddy star has called it a rumor and denied Vijay Deveakonda signing a new film.
Currently Dear comrade actor Vijay Deverakonda is focusing on his upcoming movie Fighter, which is being helmed by Puri Jagannadh of Temper and iSmart Shankar fame. Vijay has also committed a film each for Mythri Movie Makers and Dil Raju. The young actor is also in talks with several Bollywood producers for a Hindi film. He would like to complete his present commitments before signing the new projects.”
The sources close to Vijay Deverakonda quashed the speculations and made it clear that Lucifer’s team hadn’t approached Vijay Deveakonda for any role.
The veteran top heroine Khushboo will be essaying Chianjeevi’ sister whereas Jagapathi Babu will be doing an antagonist in Lucifer remake, which will be directed by Sujeeth Reddy of Saaho fame.
Chiranjeevi will start working for Lucifer remake after wrapping up the shoot of his ongoing film Acharya, which is a social message oriented movie and is being helmed by Koratala Siva and produced under Konidela Productions Company and Matinee Entertainments.
