Megastar Chiranjeevi who was last seen playing the titular role in Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy, has now come up with Acharya, helmed by Koratala Siva. Acharya is one of most eagerly anticipated movie, which has hit the theaters today on 29th April and is receiving mixed response. Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role in Acharya and he has reportedly charged Rs 50 crore for the film.
Ram Charan is playing an extended cameo. He was scheduled to appear in a cameo earlier but his role was later expanded. According to reports, Ram Charan received Rs 10 crore for his role in Acharya.
Pooja Hegde who is playing the role of Ram Charan’s love interest, is said to have been paid Rs 1 crore for her role in Acharya. It is also being heard that Koratala Siva, who is best known for helming of Janatha Garage, Mirchi, Srimanthudu, Bharat Ane Nenu fame, has charged Rs 25 crore for Acharya.
The director Koratala Siva had said that Kajal Aggarwal’ role was not that important. Yet she was paid Rs 2 crore.
Sonu Sood is said to have received Rs 4 crore for playing the important role in Acharya. The big budget drama is produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company and has the music by Mani Sharma.
