Film industry is losing many stars. Many stars have left this world this year. Most of the stars died in Tollywood. Recently, senior actor Chandramohan, southern actress Subbalakshmi, Sarath’s son, Vishwanath died. Now Bollywood’s senior actor Naeem Syed passed away. He is best known as Junior Mahmood. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Jr Mahmood’ burial is scheduled at the Santacruz cemetery later today.

He has been suffering from stomach cancer for the past few years. As it was found in the last stage, the doctors could not do anything. Mahmood was diagnosed with cancer 18 days ago. The family members took him to Tata Memorial Hospital. The situation was already out of hand. As the cancer was in the advanced stage, the doctors had already raised their hands as the chances of survival were low.
Junior Mehmood began his film career as a child artiste with Mohabbat Zindagi Hai which was released in 1966. He went on to star in movies like Haathi Mere Saathi, Mera Naam Joker, Naunihal, Caravan, Suhaag Raat, Imaandaar, Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri Brahmachari, Kati Patang, Hare Raama Hare Krishna, Geet Gaata Chal, , Aaj Ka Arjun, Gurudev, Chhote Sarkar and Judaai. He had a brief tv stint with shows like Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara and Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka.
