The body of a TV actress Moumita Saha, was found hanging in her room at Ashoknagar which falls under the Regent Park Police Station jurisdiction. The police said that 23-year-old actress, hailing from Bandel of Hooghly district, used to live alone at the rented place in south Kolkata. A suicide note was recovered from the flat where she was staying.
The police said, “The house owner informed us today after the door of the flat was not opened since last afternoon.” The body of the actress has been sent for a post-mortem and a case of an unnatural death has been initiated.
A probe has been initiated into the death of Moumita who police said could be under ‘severe depression’.
Sources in the entertainment world said that the actress had been trying to get a break in the film industry for some time, but had no success so far which was the main reason for her being depressed.
