Adipurush marks the first time collaboration of Young Rebel star Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. The makers have already wrapped up the entire shoot and currently the film which is helmed by Om Raut of Tanhaji fame, is in the post production stage. The reports are coming that the makers of Adipurush demanding Rs 35 cr (advance basis) for overseas theatrical rights. As there’s no promotional content out, most of the distributors are not in a hurry for now to buy the rights of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer.
The makers have already confirmed that Adipurush will be released in 3D amd IMAX format. Prabhas starrer Adipurush is Om Raut’ take on Indian mythological epic Ramayana, which has been adapted for film and television numerous times in India. However, the idea for movie was born when Om Raut attended a screening of Japanese film maker Yugo Sako’s anime version of the epic, The Prince of Light, which he watched in the early 2000s.
Adipurush also has Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh in the important roles and the big budget entertainer is bankrolled together by T-series and Retrophiles.
On the otherside, Prabhas is currently working for Salaar under the direction of Prashanth Neel.
