Helmed by filmmaker Sashi Kiran Tikka, the upcoming film Major starring Adivi Sesh is based on the life of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The movie also has Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, versatile actor Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma in the crucial roles. Prakash Raj and Revathi are playing Adivi Sesh’ parents.
The movie is backed jointly by G Mahesh Babu Entertainment, Sony Pictures Releasing International, and A+S Movies. With this Pan Indian film Major, Adivi Sesh is entering Bollywood. Popular distribution company Weekend Cinema which released films like Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh’ and Yash and Srinidhi Shetty starrer ‘KGF’ in the international market has bought the overseas rights of ‘Major’ in association with Southern Star International for the fancy price.
They are going to release Major in all three languages in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Apparently, the Overseas rights went out for a staggering price which explains the craze of Adivi Sesh starrer.
Adivi Sesh is popular for his performance in movies such as Ladies & Gentlemen, Panjaa, and Baahubali: The Beginning, among others. Apart from being an actor, the young actor has directed two films and has also been on board as writer for five movies.
