When a film becomes a blockbuster hit and critical darling, congratulations invariably go to the actor, director, sometimes the producers and other prominent members of the team. But all too often overlooked is the one person without whom the others’ jobs would be impossible to carry out: the screenwriter. Without a concept, a character, a conflict, a story and its structure, dialogue—without all of these elements there simply is no movie. In fact, there is only one screenwriter who has had a hand in several of the very biggest movies that India has ever seen. That would be Rajamouli, who penned the script of Mersal for Vijay, Bajrangi Bhaijaan for Salmaan Khan and Baahubali for Prabhas. The writer also provide the script for Eega (2012), Magadheera (2009), and Chatrapathi (2005) and Manikarnika:The Queen of Jhansi which is yet to release.
According to sources, K. Vijayendra Prasad (S. S. Rajamouli Father) has been roped in to pen the story and script for a movie that will be based on the rise and glory of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). It is heard that the project will have the backing of the national political party and the current ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It will be made on the lavish budget of Rs 100 Cr and will be financed by the BJP.
The sources say that the major highlights of the film will be the struggles, achievements, and glories of RSS that was instrumental in nurturing and churning out some of the able politicians in India. According to the latest buzz in the film Industry, the makers are planning to rope several top stars from the Hindi film industry to play the lead roles.
