NTR biopic and 83 Cricket World Cup producer Vishnu Induri, is going to bankroll an upcoming biopic, based on the life of late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha. The Jayalalitha biopic will be launched next year in the month of February. The source say that Jayalalitha biopic will be made in three languages- Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Earlier former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, had played a role inspired by J Jayalalitha in Mani Ratnam’s political drama Iruvar. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, once again the name of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is being considered to play the lead in the biopic of Tamil Nadu’s former chief minister Jayalalitha. Apart from the Mangaluru-born actress, Padamaavat star Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, Tabu and few others are also in the race to act in the multilingual and much prestigious project.
In 1999, during an interview, Bollywood actress Simi Garewal revealed that J Jayalalithaa had stated that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would be the best actress to play her role if ever the biopic on the Tamil Nadu chief minister is made.
It is known news that Vidya Balan is currently working with Vishnu Induri of Vibri Media for the biopic of late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pardesh- NTR, in which Vidya Balan is reprising the role of NTR’s wife Basavatarakam. Hence, there is a good chance of the producers convincing her to take up the project.
The former CM Jayalalitha had passed away after a prolonged illness in Chennai in December 2016.
Vishnu Induri is currently working on a script based on the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha. The project will be bankrolled under the banner of Vibri Media.
