The reports are coming that Ajith’ wife, Shalini is doing a cameo in Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan which has Aishwarya Rai as the leading lady. The official announcement regarding the inclusion of Shalini in Ponniyin Selvan is awaited.
Ponniyin Selvan is Mani Ratnam’s dream project and the film maker has been working on it for the last few years. The big budget, much hyped project will be released in two parts and it has a number of top stars in the lead roles.
Ponniyin Selvan also features Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi and Trisha in the lead roles. The shoot of Mani Ratnalu’ film was progressing at a brisk pace in Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. However, the novel coronavirus outbreak brought their work to halt. Now, the shoot is again progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad and makers are on the verge of completing the second schedule.
The sources say that Ajith’s wife Shalini will be flying to Hyderabad by the end of this month to play a cameo in the film. Her character will be a pivotal one and has a lot of scope to perform.
