Akhil Akkineni is currently working with Bhaskar of Bommarillu fame for an upcoming untitled film. Currently, the shoot is going on at the brisk pace and Pooja Hegde is sharing the screen space with him. This is the first time, Pooja Hegde and Akhil are working together for a movie. Now, a crazy rumor is going around is that Samantha Akkineni, the wife of Naga Chaitanya and daughter-in-law of Akkineni Nagarjuna will be seen in a cameo in this yet to be titled film of Akhil and Pooja Hegde starrer. The sources say that Akhil Akkineni will be seen narrating his love story to Samantha Akkineni in the film and the proceedings will roll from there.
The sources added that initially, the makers of Akhil starrer wanted to rope a special actress to play the cameo in this film but later they decided to bring Samantha Akkineni on the board to the crucial role in this film. Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet, Samantha’s inclusion in Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde’s film has become a hot topic all over the film circles.
In the past, Samantha has worked with Akhil in Akkineni family drama Manam. Now once again they are going to work together for a movie. In the genre of this movie, we hear that it will be an emotional family drama. Incidentally, Akhil Akkineni has starred in three films so far but none of them have been able to make a big impact at the box office. Sources say that this project was started only after getting the approval of Akhil’s father and actor Nagarjuna.
Bommarillu Bhaskar is known for helming movies like Bommarillu, Parugu, Orange and Ongole Githa.
On the other side, Samantha Akkineni is working for her web series The Family Man 2 and is also waiting for the release of Janu, 96 remake.
