Akkineni family used to come out with good movies. But for the past few months, the audience has been rejecting their films, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil’s films are not doing as well as expected at the box office.
In the Telugu film industry, there is a saying that the buzz of mass films is more. But when OTTs came, the audience’s taste changed. Those who enjoy watching movies in different languages are now looking for new stories. Due to the same reason some movies of Tollywood are becoming disaster . Retelling the old story, showing unnecessary heroism, the audience is rejecting the movie badly. Similarly Akkineni Family actors are losing consecutively. Senior actor Nagarjuna’s movies are not appreciated by the audience. His sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil were also rejected by the audience. With the failure of the recently released Custody the three heroes of this family are thinking about their future.
Nagarjuna’ films Wild Dog, Officer and The Ghost were flops one after the other. It hurt his fans. Even Naga Chaitanya has not seen proper success in recent times . After Majili and Love story, he faltered in the choice of script. Custody is made with a huge budget, but is not earning as much as expected.
Akhil Akkineni is still not getting his place in Tollywood. Most Eligible Bachelor was just ok but his recently released spy thriller drama Agent is turning up commercially flop. Akhil worked hard but the audience did not care about his movie.
