Akula Sreeja, Mixed Doubles Gold Medal Winner of Common Wealth Games participated in ‘Green India Challenge’

Table tennis player ‘Sreeja Akula’ planted saplings at her residence in Somajiguda as part of the ‘Green India Challenge’ initiated by Rajya Sabha Member Joginipalli Santhosh Kumar.

‘Sreeja Akula’ is a young Indian athlete who represented the country in many national and international competitions. She won a gold medal in table tennis at the August 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Speaking on this occasion, ‘Sreeja Akula’ said that planting saplings is very necessary for human life and I am very happy and proud to participate in the great program ‘Green India Challenge’ undertaken by MP Santhosh Kumar. She said that by planting saplings, rains will fall on time, thereby increasing agricultural production and leading to healthy living. Srija Akula said that everyone should plant saplings to protect our environment and reduce pollution.

Later, Sreeja Akula asked her coach Somnath Ghosh, friend Krutika and relative Umamaheswara Rao to participate in the ‘Green India Challenge’ and plant saplings.
