WHO has given a major update on the Israel-Hamas conflict. On Sunday, the organization reported that the Gaza Strip’s largest hospital, al-Shifa, has stopped working and the death toll is rising due to Israel’s attack on the northern area of the Hamas-controlled area.
Sharing this information on social media platform X, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote a post. He told through this post, ‘WHO managed to contact the health officials of Al-Shifa Hospital, but the situation there is terrible and dangerous. There is no electricity and water for the last three days, internet service is also very poor. Firing and bombing continues in the area. The number of patients is increasing and the hospital has stopped functioning.
Giving information on Saturday, November 1, the Hamas Health Ministry in Gaza said, ‘Three children died after the closure of Al-Shifa hospital.’ The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported the death of one more person. On Sunday, Israeli Defense Forces said they were enabling a route from Gaza’s Shifa, Naris and Rantishi hospitals to rescue civilians and infants. The statement came after an Israeli military spokesman confirmed it was assisting in the evacuation of the infants.
