Prabhas starrer much hyped drama Salaar will release worldwide on September 28. With just a month left for the release of this gangster movie, the theatrical as well as the digital and satellite business has almost been completed. This movie created full demand for theatrical rights. It is being advertised that the Telugu rights are likely to be sold for more than Rs 200 crores.
It is known that the producer and distributor Dil Raju is competing to get the Nizam area theatrical rights of this movie. It is said that Dil Raju is ready to pay up to Rs 80 crores for Nizam’s rights. With Dil Raju and two other top production houses entering the fray, it is reported that this rate is likely to increase further.
It is said that there is a chance of crossing one hundred crores. The clarity will come on Nizam area theatrical rights on Tuesday. On the other hand, OTT platforms are rumored to be ready to pay more than Rs 100 crores for digital rights.
Helmed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar has Shruti Haasan as the leading lady and Jagapathi Babu, Tinu Anand in the important roles. Salaar movie is being produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films.
