The young and happening actor Vijay Deverakonnda starrer romantic movie Geetha Govindam was one of the biggest hits in Tollywood. The movie was helmed by Parasuram, bankrolled by Bunny Vyas under his banner GA2 Pictures, had Rashmika Mandanna in the female lead role. Though the movie got affected by piracy menace even before its release, it broke all records at the box office. Parasuram did not have Vijay Deverakonda in mind when he penned the script of Geetha Govindam. He narrated the story first to Mega producer Allu Aravind. The story then went to stylish star Allu Arjun, though Bunny was very impressed with the narration he rejected the offer.
This is because Stylish Star Allu Arjun got a powerful mass image with Boyapati Srinu’s action entertainer Sarrainodu. He felt if he does the soft role in romantic film Geetha Govindam, the movie lovers will not accept him. That is the main reason, Allu Arjun lost the film Geetha Govindam to Vijay Deverakonda.
It is known news that after the release of Geetha Govindam, Allu Arjun went a step further and threw a party for the entire team lauding their hard work and efforts.
On the other side, currently, Vijay Deverakonda is working for Fighter under the direction of Puri Jagannadh.
