The bold and beautiful actress Amala Paul is all set to star as seventies Bollywood star Parveen Babi in a biographical web series which is going to be produced by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt’s banner Vishesh Films. It is known news that last year in the month of December, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt announced his debut in the digital space with a yet-untitled “dramatic web-series” based on the relationship of  a top actress of the 70s and a struggling filmmaker. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry,  Amala  Paul has been roped in this web series  of Mahesh Bhatt where she will essay the role of Parveen Babi.

The upcoming web series of Amala Paul starrer will delve into the relationship between a struggling filmmaker and a top actor of the ’70s.

According to rumors, her character draws references from the late Parveen Babi’ life, who has earlier inspired the Bollywood film Woh Lamhe in the year 2006. That film, also bankrolled  by the Bhatts, in which  Kangana Ranaut and Shiney Ahuja played the lead roles. The film supposedly based on Parveen Babi’ life, tackled her battle with schizophrenia and her relationship with Mahesh Bhatt to whom she was a lover as well as a mentor in his struggling days.

On the work front, Amala Paul is busy with her upcoming Tamil movie  Adho Andho Paravai Pola for which she is learning Krav Maga martial arts. According to the director, Amala Paul risked her own safety to perform some really gravity defying stunts for the film.  In Tollywood, Amala Paul came into limelight after sharing the screen space with Ram Charan in  Naayak, which was directed by VV Vinayak.    Last year Amala Paul was in the news headline because of her bold avatar in Aadai. Now Amala Paul is all set to essay the role of Parveen Babi in Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt’ web series.
