Story:   The story is set in 2007 in a village named Ambajipeta. Venkat (Nithin Prasanna) is an influential figure. Half of the people in the village are facing difficulties by taking loans from Venkat and paying interest. Malli (Suhas) works in a marriage band in the same village.  His elder sister  Padmavathi (Saranya Pradeep) works as a school teacher. Padmavathi’s job becomes permanent because of Venkat. So, Padma goes to Venkat every Sunday even if she doesn’t like it and writes accounts related to his businesses. On the other hand, Malli falls in love with Venkat’s sister Lakshmi (Shivani). Shivani also loves Malli. What are the dramatic developments that happened after that?,  The upper caste Venkat also insults Padma over a personal matter. What happens next?  How did Malli’s love story unfold?  To get these answers, one should watch the movie Ambajipeta Marriage Band on the silver screen.

 Plus points:

·         Story

·         Performance

·         Cinematography

·         Message

 Minus Points:

·         Few routine scenes

·         Lack of major twists

·         Lack of commercial elements

Performance: Suhas’ performance is amazing. He makes the audience glued to the narrative. Sharanya Pradeep also acts very well in another key role. Nithin Prasanna’s role is unique. Shivani Nagaram who plays the female lead is very entertaining. Jagdish Pratap Bhandari, Goparaju Ramana, Gayatri Bhargavi, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Kittayya and others justify their roles.

Technical:  The story of the Ambajipeta Marriage Band is simple and good. Shekar Chandra’s music is good. The cinematography work is a special attraction of the film. Producer Dhiraj Mogilineni should be appreciated for believing in the director’s idea and making such a realistic film. His production values are also very good.  The movie lacks major twists

Analysis: In one word, the Ambajipeta Marriage Band is a film that reveals the sentiments of the socially backward and depressed sections. The story is very realistic. The scenes of mentally torturing innocent people in the name of caste by the upper caste society are also very emotional and impressive.

Although this Ambajipeta Marriage Band movie is impressive with its mind-blowing message and emotional scenes, the lack of commercial elements and slow screenplay are the minus points of the movie. The gripping narration is missing in some scenes. It would have been better if the director had made the first half of the story more interesting.

 Rating : 3/5
