A student at the RSR Engineering College in Kadanutala, Andhra Pradesh- AP, ended his life by committing suicide due to severe ragging and harassment by his fellow students
A student ended his life because he was unable to bear the raging and harassment of his fellow students. This brutal incident took place in the Nellore district. Ragging caused the commotion in RSR Engineering College, Kadanutala. Unable to bear the harassment, the student Pradeep committed suicide by falling down from a e train. Before committing suicide, Pradeep informed his parents that his room- mates were harassing him. He committed suicide by falling under a train near Kavali railway station. When the parents came to know about the matter, they reached the college.
According to Pradeep’ parents, he had confided in them about the ongoing harassment by his roommates, who demanded the phone numbers of female students, beers and biryani. He asked the management to give him TC, but the school management didn’t care. Pradeep’s parents were spotted crying.
This suicide incident has sparked outrage among the students and locals, who are calling for strict action against perpetrators and an end to ragging culture in the educational institutions. The authorities have promised to investigate this matter and take the necessary action.
