It is known that Naveen Polishetty, who landed success with ‘Jathi Ratnalu,’ will be sharing screen with Telugu film industry’s “Jejamma” Anushka Shetty in an upcoming yet to be titled film. Yesterday the makers released the first look poster and introduced him as Sidhu Polishetty and wished him a happy birthday. The upcoming drama is tentatively titled Anushka 48. In this film Rudhramadevi fame actress is playing a middle-aged chef who fell in love with a stand-up comedian essayed by Naveen Polishetty. If ongoing buzz in the media and the film industry are to be believed, the upcoming film of Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty deals with the concept of surrogacy.
Anushka 48 is being directed by P Mahesh Babu, who had earlier helmed Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra starrer Ra Ra Krishnayya. It is funded by UV Creations. The film has the cinematography by Nirav Shah.
Baahubali girl Anushka Shetty was last seen in Nishabdham, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2020 but received mixed reviews from the movie lovers and the critics. It was produced by Kona Venkat and Anushka was seen in the role of a mute artist. The movie also had R Madhavan in the lead roles whereas, Subbaraju, Shalini Pandey, Anjali, and Michael Madsen in the crucial roles.
