Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath presented the Andhra Pradesh State Budget (Oton Account Budget) 2024-25 in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. A total budget of Rs.2,86,389 crore was introduced. In this, revenue expenditure of Rs.2,30,110 crore, capital expenditure of Rs.30,530 crore, revenue deficit of Rs.24,758 crore and fiscal deficit of Rs.55,817 crore have been estimated. It is estimated that there will be a fiscal deficit of 3.51 percent of the state’s gross product. Minister Buggana proposed that the revenue deficit will be 1.56 percent of GSDP.
Budget allocations are as follows
Rs 3,411 crore for free crop insurance
Rs 1,835 crores in zero interest loans
Rs 11,901 crores for Jagananna Vidyadiwena
Rs 4267 crores of Jagananna’s accommodation
Jagannana Palavelluva Rs 2697 crores
YSR Beema Rs 650 crores
Kalyanamastu and Shaadi Tofa Rs 350 crores
Rs 3,374 crores along with Jaganna
Vahana mitra Rs 1,305 crores
The government has estimated a revenue of Rs 2,05,352 crore in the financial year 2024-25 . Through central taxes Rs 49,286 crores will come and Rs 1,09,538 crores will come from state taxes in the budget. Non-tax income of Rs 14,400 crores, it is estimated that Rs 32,127 crores will come through grant-in-aid. The government intends to raise Rs 71 thousand crores of debt through the open market. From the center Rs 61,642 crore plans to borrow. In the budget, the government has proposed to borrow another Rs.25 thousand crore.
