Heavy rains are lashing across AP. AP government has announced holidays for educational institutions in many districts. Orders have been issued to this effect. The people have been advised to be alert. Meanwhile, the whole of AP is getting wet due to the incessant rains.
Rains continue to fall in many districts. Due to the strengthening of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, rains are falling all over AP. An average rainfall of 2.8 cent meters was recorded across Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the officials of the Meteorological Department said that the effect of this low pressure will continue till Thursday. The red alert has been issued for 10 districts where there is a possibility of heavy rains. It includes NTR, Palnadu, Kakinada, West Godavari, Eluru, Alluri Sitaramaraj, BR Ambedkar Konaseema, Kakinada, Eluru, East Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts. Orange alert has also been issued to many districts.
For Friday, the heavy rainfall has been forecast for 1-2 places in Alluri Sitaramaraju and Eluru districts. The Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea as wind speeds reaching up to 45-55 km per hour and also gusting up to 65 kmph are likely over the west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal.
