AP Govt to sign agreement with edX

The AP Govt will today enter into an agreement with edX to provide free online courses to poor and middle class students. .

In the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy, an agreement will be signed between the state government and the e-learning platform edX at the CM’s camp office on Friday.

New technology and teaching methods for teaching and learning have been developed jointly by edX and the State Higher Education Department. The deal with edX – which the Education Department says will be a “game changer” in higher education.

More than 12 lakh students in Andhra Pradesh can study more than 2,000+ edX online courses offered by world-class universities and other educational institutions for free along with regular courses and get certificates.

AP students are taught by the best faculty from the world’s top universities and institutions.

The course certificates and credits are issued from many best universities including Harvard, MIT, Oxford, Cambridge. So that our students will get good national and international job and the employment opportunities.

Students who cannot afford to study in top colleges abroad can now learn the courses designed by popular universities like MIT, Harvard,  London School of Economics and others.

The best teachers from world’s top universities and institutions will teach the students of our State.
