 The Central Government has approved the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium for the appointment of five new judges in the AP High Court. 

Four of the new judges were appointed as additional judges and one was transferred to the AP High Court. Two judges were transferred from AP High Court.

The central government on Wednesday transferred 16 judges of ten high courts of the country. It ordered the appointment of 17 new judges to nine High Courts. Two judges from Andhra Pradesh High Court are going to other states on transfer. Another judge will come on transfer from Karnataka High Court to Andhra Pradesh.

The collegium approved the recommendations for the appointment of four new additional judges in the AP High Court. With this, the number of AP High Court judges will reach 30. There should be 37 judges in the AP High Court.

Justice Gadaman Manvendra Nathrai, serving as a judge in the Amaravati High Court, has been transferred to the Gujarat High Court and Justice Duppala Venkataramana has been transferred to the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Justice G. Narender is coming on transfer from Karnataka. The Supreme Court collegium recommended the transfer of judges on August 10. The Union Ministry of Justice issued the order on Wednesday.

Harinath Nunepalli, Kiranmayi Mandava, Sumathi Jagadam and Nyapati Vijay have been appointed as Additional Judges in the Andhra Pradesh High Court under Advocate Quota. The Supreme Court Collegium recommended on October 10. After the President’s approval for their appointments, the Ministry of Justice issued a notification on Wednesday. The appointment of the new judges was announced by Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal in Ex.

Justice M. Laxman, who was a judge in the Telangana High Court, was transferred to Rajasthan and Justice Anupama Chakraborty was transferred to Patna.
