The music director AR Rahman hosted a wedding reception for his daughter Khatija Rahman who tied the knot with audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed last month. The musical wedding reception was held in Chennai on Friday and had several of A R Rahman‘s industry friends and colleagues in attendance. Some artists performed live on stage during the musical evening.
Sonu Nigam and Honey Singh, attended the wedding reception of Oscar award winning music director AR Rahman’s daughter Khatija Rahman in Chennai. Videos from the reception show a glimpse of the newlyweds. AR Rahman also shared the small video on his Instagram.
On the occasion of reception, Khatija wore a purple lehenga whereas Riyasdeen wore a black suit with a bowtie. AR Rahman was in a kurta-pyjama which he paired with a blue jacket while his son Ameen was spotted in a black sherwani.

On 6th May 2022, Khatija had posted the first-ever picture with her husband. Alongside it, she had penned a heart melting note and had shared that she had married her dream man Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed.
