Attack of Telugu Desam Party’s secretary and Vijayawada former corporator Chennupati Gandhi in Bejwada. A TDP leader was attacked by some people and injured in Patamalanka. The reports are coming that the YSRCP leaders attacked and tried to kill or Chennupati Gandhi. Due to the intervention of the locals, they left him. But Chennupati Gandhi’ right eye was totally damaged in the incident that took place on Saturday evening at 9th division in Vijayawada.
Senior TDP leader Chennupati Gandhi was attacked by few people at the Girls High School in Padamatalanka. In this attack, he suffered serious eye injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital. From there he was shifted to LV Prasad Hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment. The TDP leaders have accused YSRCP leaders of carrying out this attack. In the Vijayawada Corporation elections, Chennupati Gandhi’s wife won from the 9th division. The TDP leaders say that the defeated candidate committed the attack.
On the otherside, the police recorded the victim’s statement and filed a case.
TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh reacted strongly to this incident and accused YSRCP leaders of attacking Chennupati Gandhi. He criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy saying that he is writing bloody history with the help of the police.
