A day after changing the name of Ayodhya railway station, UP government is planning to name the new international airport ‘Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham’.
The newly constructed airport in Ayodhya is named after ‘Maharshi Valmiki’. It was named as ‘Maharshi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham’. To this extent, the previous name ‘Maryada Purushottam Sriram Ayodhya International Airport’ has been changed. PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate this airport tomorrow (Saturday). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station, which was renamed Ayodhya Dham Junction on Wednesday.
The services at this airport will start before the Maha Samprokshan program at the Ayodhya Ram Temple on 22nd January.
Indigo and Air India Express are going to start services here from 30th December. These two airlines – Indigo and Air India Express have already announced flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad to Ayodhya. It has been revealed that these services will start from the month of January. The construction of the first phase of the airport has been completed with an estimate of Rs 1,450 cr. The new terminal building has been constructed on an area of 6,500 square meters. The airport has been designed to serve 10 lakh passengers per year.
