Union Minister Pralhad Joshi revealed the photo of the Lord Ram statue that will be installed in Ayodhya ahead of the grand consecration ceremony of Ram temple. Lord Ram statue has been carved by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj.

Karnataka’s BJP leader  Yediyurappa  also tweeted that the idol of Lord Rama sculpted by Mysore-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj has been chosen to be installed in the magnificent Lord Rama temple in Ayodhya, doubling the pride and joy of all Rama devotees in the state. “Heartiest congratulations to Shilpa @yogiraj_arun,” he said. The idols designed by Arun Yogiraj will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in the presence of Prime Minister Modi on January 22.

On the selection of idols, Arun Yogiraj’s mother Saraswathi said, “It is the happiest moment for us, I wanted to see him crafting sculpture, but he said he would take me on the last day, I will go on the day of the installation of the statue.”

Arun Yogiraj is one of the most sought after sculptors in the country. He started his journey into the world of sculpture at an early age. His father Yogiraj and grandfather Basavanna Shilpi were renowned sculptors. Despite pursuing an MBA and working in the corporate sector, an innate passion for sculpture brought him back to the world of sculpture in 2008.
