The 65th National Film Awards was announced today on Friday by the jury headed by Shekhar Kapur. The jury panel has 10 members which include screenwriter Imtiaz Hussain, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Rumi Jaffrey, South Indian actress Gautami Tadimalla, lyricist Mehboob, Kannada director P Sheshadri, Rajesh Mapuskar, Ranjit Das and Tripurari Sharma.
SS Rajamouli’s directorial venture Baahubali 2:The Conclusion starring Young Rebel Star Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia and Ramya Krishna has won three awards at 65th National Film Awards. Baahubali 2 took awards for Best Popular Film, Best Action Direction and Best Special Effects at the National Awards this year.
On the other side, Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Paanu starrer The Ghazi Attack has adjudged the Best Regional Film (Telugu).
Though the announcement of the awards is happening today but the ceremony will be held on 3rd May 2018 and the award will be presented by President Ram Nath Kovind.
