Producer Shobu Yarlagadda who is on the ninth cloud, took to Twitter  and shared his excitement as he wrote, “@BaahubaliMovie 2 released in Japan on 29th December. It has crossed 100 days in theatres & presently in its 15th week grossing over US$1.3 million! A big thank you to Japanese fans for the love and our Japanese distributor @movietwin2 for a great release! @ssrajamouli.”

People have showered the film with a lot of love and affection. From cosplay, game cards and designing fan posters to cheering for the film in theatres, Baahubali 2 has made an impression on audience in Japan.

Baahubali  2 which was released in April 2017, has collected  Rs 1700  Cr worldwide. It was the first film that collected the fastest Rs 100 Cr at the box office. Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? This question singularly drove the audiences to the theater after the director chose to end the first part – Baahubali: The Beginning – on a cliffhanger.
